Matesso Galecia (MG) Consulting Engineers were appointed as the Civil and Structural engineers tasked with executing preliminary designs, detailed designs, tender specifications, preparation of construction documentation, and construction supervision. The extent of the scope of works included earthworks, concrete works, and pipe fitting installations for the Nellmapius Extension X22 Pressure Reducing Valve (PRV) and scour valve chambers for the proposed bulk supply pipeline. The proposed 315mm diameter pipeline was approximately 2km in length and connected to an existing 400mm diameter Rand Water bulk supply pipeline via the PRV chamber.
