MG Wax Engineering Consultants JV (MG WAX JV) was appointed by Transnet Pipelines (TPL) to replace 73 block valve chamber structural steel roofs with reinforced concrete roofs. The project aim is to enhance security around block valve chambers and to prevent any unauthorized entry into block valve chambers to reduce product theft. The contract scope required the design, fabrication, supply and installation of concrete roof slabs for existing block valve chambers located along a pipe network. The pipe network consisted of 6 pipelines dispersing from a central node to various parts of the Gauteng, North-West, Free-State, and Mpumalanga provinces.
